Niang Highlights from ESPN and Interview

The ESPN guys kept pronouncing the "S" in Georges' name - it's silent right?

Cannot watch the highlight at work on my blackberry. Look forward to watching it when I get home. But ill go out on a limb and say both the guys looked like studs. We would have one mean front court if Noel ended up choosing the good guys as well.

White, Niang, Noel....=SICK

Lots of ifs. If Georges convinces Noel to come with him, if Royce stays more than 1 year. If they all come true, we will definitely be able to compete with KU and UT for the championship.

Niang's post moves remind me of Vroman's. Very crafty with the ball and can score many ways in the paint.

Not a bad comparison, but Vroman was more like 6'10", wasn't he? I still see Greg Brunner.

Georges really carries himself well. Very well spoken, and twice the personality of Noel. I believe Noel to be correct when he says Georges is the most underrated post in the country. Maybe not THE most but Georges has to be up there. Excited to see him in Ames next year.

Jackson didn't have nearly the polish on his moves that Georges already possesses. Jackson scored on very non-traditional, hard to defend moves IIRC.

Thanks for posting this. I'm so pumped about Georges playing at ISU and I'm glad he is someone who isn't afraid to get in there and get after it!

I see some Brunner in him, but Brunner didn't have the post moves or use both hands as well. I think they'll both be that "crafty" type player that is a bit undersized though.
