I don't know if anyone here was watching but the reaction Pujols had to that apparent wrist injury makes me really concerned. He was in a TON of pain. I'll be shocked honestly if it's not broken. This team cannot catch a break on the injury front, and it's too bad, because it could/would be a damn good one.

Who would pay anyone $30 million/yr to play baseball, especially with the threat of injury?

Cards and nobody else shouldn't even broach the thought

Man, I hope he isn't seriously injured. He is such a great all around player and there are so few of those in the league.

I'd be very surprised if it's broken. It didn't look that bad.

EDIT: They're (Fox Sports KC) is saying it's a sprain.

Well, Wainwright and now Pujols. Just got done with Holliday being on the DL, along with Punto and Freese also spending long amounts of time on there as well. Berkman has had minor tweaks and small injuries, but nothing serious, yet. (hope not). I hate comparing tragedies but the situations are similar, just different positions on the field.

Mauer, Morneau, Nishioka, D.Young, Thome, Span, Kubel.......and the list goes on. The Twins have been playing with a minor league lineup for the better part of 2 months now.

DeRosa's was only supposed to be a sprain too a couple years ago. He still hasn't recovered

Meh, Pujols will be back in a couple of days. I was listening on the radio and they said a sprain. So at worst its bruised as well. Albert is not one to be a ***** and sit out, tomorrow is a day off anyway he might not miss anytime.

so hes not like heyward?

Hopefully he'll come back on fire. Seems like Holliday scorches the ball when he comes back from IR. Let's hope for a short stint on the DL. So far (knock wood), the call-ups have been giving more than what was expected of them.
