This actually became a pretty entertaining thread. Good chuckles on a Friday morning. It did happen just as I said '85. Cedar Rapids is not an easy place to be a cyclone fan.

Lived in Iowa City for 2 years. Wore ISU gear all the time. Nothing like that ever happened to me. Wonder why?

Angie, I hope you also discuss and reprimand MODs when they go over the line and refuse to remember what moderator means. I suspect that is why I get some leeway with my replies to '85 given his obsession and need to reply to anything I type.

Angie knows that I try to refrain from personal attacks and almost always succeed. It's not suppose to be allowed but the playing field is obviously not level when a Mod is allowed to blatantly break that rule on a regular basis.

Show me a post where I broke a rule and I will ban myself for a month. Deal?

Got to agree with this. I have lived in Iowa City for about five years now and see a lot of people wearing ISU gear with nothing bad happening. Except for one weekend every other year.

Partially it's because the Hawk fans actually in Iowa City 358 days a year are generally more well educated and respectful fans than the Hawk fans scattered throughout the state.

I understand (and agree with) the point you're trying to make, but I guarantee you would catch less **** for wearing ISU gear around Iowa City than you would in Muscatine or Cedar Rapids regardless of your behavior.

When did they sneak 2 more days in?

Definitely not looking for a reason to ban you. I've just followed your posts for the last 5 years or so, and know your act. I'm shocked that this fan was wearing BOTH Cubs and Hawk gear and you had an issue with him. I'm sure you said nothing to get him to say anything:twitcy:
again - personal attach - clearly calling me a liar - right angie!!!

What rebeca didn't tell you is that not only was he wearing a Cardinals hat AND not only was he wearing a Cyclone shirt, BUT he was also wearing a....Gene Chizik commemerative coin that he had made into a necklace!
here is a mod not being a mod again

Oh you believe his story? Well I guess your new to rebecacy's posts.
Clearly a personal attack -- not allowed. See you in a month -- come on *******, admit it..........personal attacks -- calling someone a liar and provoking bad behavior........... any idiot can see it. Time to call a MOD meeting.

that is called teasing, ribbing, etc. Not a personal attack. No different than your posts every other day regarding cubs, chizik, etc. You just post to stir things up. Not a violation or a personal attack though

You would make a great attorney!

I've lived in Cedar Rapids for five years now. I go out nearly every weekend and often times wear Iowa State stuff. Never had an issue with anyone other than a little fun loving jab here or there after a loss.

Most people that live in Cedar Rapids are from the state of Iowa.

50% of people that live in IC are from Chicago. So that doesn't work really.
