Someone call and tell the construction workers to stop what they are doing and prep the South Endzone for the new scoreboard...save some time and money :twitcy:
For comparison's sake (numbers from 2009, may have changed since then):
A&M: The McFerrin Center is 191,000 square feet and cost $35.6 million, but that includes the Gilliam Indoor Track Center. The football side is 75,000 square feet.
For you engineers and architects out there, can you explain Approved Building Prgram vs Schematic Design? Which one actually gets built?
Yeah, I was half kidding when I wrote that, but I do wonder what in the heck they'll do with the Olsen and Jacobson buildings once the FB team moves out.
On another note, JP thinks we are going to have a $70 million revenue by 2022. In 2010 we had $40 million.

Baylor: The Baylor football team will be able to practice this fall in the 74,000-square foot Jay and Jenny Allison Indoor Practice Facility, which cost $11 million.
Oklahoma: The Everest Indoor Training Center is 74,000 square feet and opened in 2002.
Oklahoma State: Its $50 million facility is on hold.
Texas: “The Bubble†was built in 2002. It cost $4 million and is just over 71,000 square feet.
Texas Tech: The Red Raiders don’t have an indoor facility. The school’s athletic training center, called “The Bubble,†hosts the indoor track and field teams. The football team does use it during inclement weather.
Iowa State: The $10 million, 92,000 square foot Steve and Debbie Bergstrom Indoor Training Facility opened in 2004. Softball and soccer also use. (Add new 20 million, 50K square feet facility)
Kansas: The Anschutz Pavilion is 40,000 square feet and opened in 1999 and several teams use it.
Kansas State: It has a 94,000-square foot facility, which will receive renovations.
Missouri: The Daniel J. Devine Indoor Practice Facility cost $12 million and opened in 1998.

The year 2022 seems so far away.
There wasn't mention of a rec area for the players or anything like that. A lot of schools have these and it's basically a glorified man cave, but for a whole football team. Maybe that's what we put in the Olsen building in the future? Doubt it though.
I don't know how many people looked at the anticipated revenues portion of that graph, but you can see guesstimates about future TV contracts...
Looks like Pollard is anticipating more or less a 5% increase in budget every year. Which at first might seem pretty confident. But if you consider that success and donations would seemingly have no place to go but up (with increased football and basketball success as long as the Big 12 stays in tact) then this seems pretty conservative. Probably the increase is due to the increasing payouts from Fox on the 2nd tier rights every year.
Notice the one year they anticipate a difference in revenue is F16-17, where the budget jumps from 53 mil to 60 mil. Why 2016??? ABC contract due. He's estimating about a 7 million jump where as without that you'd probably have a 2 million jump. That's 5 million extra for ISU, which would translate to 50 million extra/yr for the Big 12. That turns the $60 million/yr ABC contract to $110 million/yr.
With the seemingly exponential rising costs of TV contracts (see Pac 12), you'd think that estimate is being conservative.
Those numbers look great, but I can't imagine what those estimates would be from the Big East or a non-AQ conference. Let's hope for the Big 12 to stick around for the length of those projections and beyond! I don't think its a coincidence those estimates stopped with 2022. College football Armagedon is set to begin then with basically everybody's contract coming due around those years more or less.

Yeah, a players' lounge. I'm guessing that "Football Operations" means coach's offices. I would think that the staff wouldn't be doing this without everything that they want included. It would be dumb not to have a players' lounge...especially because they aren't exactly limited by space, just money.
I do wonder why they have an "Anticipated Gross Square Feet" yet there's a number for "Total Net Assignable Space" that is less. Does that mean that there's basically 15k square feet not assigned yet?
Perhaps a tunnel.I think gross square feet is the floorprint of the building and net assignable space is space dedicated to football only. That remaining 15k is probably taken up in hallways, lobby, restrooms, closets, mechanical rooms, elevators, stairs, etc. All 15k does seem like a lot for all of that.
