Is Tavon Sledge going to be our version of JJ Barea with the added ability to dunk. If so it's going to be fun to watch. Going to be frustrating for other teams to have to try to defend him.

I am really excited to see Sledge play. From all the press clippings it sure sounds like we got a steal, and it seems as though he could be a great asset coming off of the bench next year.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, he hasn't stepped foot on campus, nor a division 1 game, ill reserve judgement til then

He plays next weekend in an all star charity game against/with great talent. I'll be interested to see how he does although it's largely irrelevant.

There was a small point guard in the Sweet Sixteen who was very effective and he didn't have the explosiveness of Sledge. (I can't remember his name or the team, other than he is black).

A short, quick, athletic PG can definitely be effective at the college level. Additionally, it sounds like Sledge has a decent outside shot as well. I'm most excited to see what he and White can do next season.

he plays THIS weekend in a bigtime NYC aau event. he had 15 and 10 last weekend against very good competition. supposedly his shot is improving.

Joey Rodriguez from VCU was about same built 5'10", 175lb like Tavon. Joey was really good PG who knew how to get others involved.

That's probably a lot better comp than Barea. Barea is one of those 1 in million stories, where the undersized guy from a tiny school makes it in the big leagues by out-working and out-smarting everyone else. It's an incredible story, really. Watching those games, I can't get over how much he looks like a young (much smaller) Jason Kidd.

the highlights of sledge remind me of purdue's point guard i think jackson is his name. he's about 5'9" but almost impossible to keep out of the lane
