Just hear that Colin Cowherd broke this? Im not seeing it anywhere else, but was told that Cowherd broke it on his show. Did anyone hear it? Ill be completely shocked if this is true...

EDIT:
jim hendry - Google Search

Sounds like it was purely speculation on Cowherds part, but the rumor now exists...

I have no respect for Cowherd. If it wasn't for Michelle, SportsNation wouldn't be around.

I just "love" (:jimlad:) Cowherd's commercials. Like when he rips on a caller for liking Rory McIlroy because he's a role model and bowing down to Tiger Woods because he's a "transcendent golfer" (when Tiger was last deserving of this praise I have no idea). Or when he says that Pujols hugging Hendry (or whoever it was) was Pujols' way of sticking it to St. Louis. Or he's only interested in the Bulls-Hawks series because Rose is an exciting player (funny how when he was the only "exciting" player on the floor the Bulls were losing).

It's almost impossible to have any respect for Cowherd - he's a pompous arse that thinks any of the major sports trophies only belong in the largest US cities and that the sole purpose of teams from smaller cities is to inflate the records of the teams in the larger cities.

Look up "elitist" in the dictionary and you'll find Cowherd's picture.

I sent Cowherd an email, let's hope he sends something back. If anyone is listening let me know if he says anything on air from someone in Sdale.

You can win all the division titles you want. We'll stick to championships

And what's the first step towards winning the World Series? Winning the division. It's not Hendry's fault the players decided not to hit during the playoffs.

Cowherd is awesome. I know he can rub people, but he is basically right all the time.

Like saying Derrick Rose isn't that good because he has had a few off games in the Playoffs?

Or in the same show bashing people who bash LeBron for not being a closer all because LeBron actually stepped up at the end of ONE playoff game?

I don't listen much because I get the feeling he doesn't actually believe most of what he says...he just tries to stir the pot. No thanks.

Seriously though, Hendry isn't going anywhere until at least after Pujols signs somewhere.

It's a little like the GMac situation at ISU. You knew that no matter what they weren't dumping him until after Barnes made a decision.

Good news - I want Hendry right where he is for as long as possible.

Don't get too excited:

Cardinals GM Jon Mozeliak playoff % = 1/3 (33%) - No WS Titles
Cubs GM Jim Hendry playoff % = 3/8 (37.5%) - No WS Titles
