Negus Webster-Chan decommits

I suppppppose I'd be ok with us taking a nationally ranked, skilled 6-8 small forward.

Not to side-track the conversation and without having to read Louisville boards...what are the problems with Louisville? Unfulfilled expectations?

"@DaveTelep Negus Webster-Chan. De-committed from Louisville. Will take a spin around college hoops, take 5 visits, slow process down"

I wonder if we'll get one of those visits?

I think Mizzou might be in the hunt for this kid. I heard on KC radio last week an interview with a Louisville guy about one of the assistants Haith had just hired away from Pitino. I can not remember his name but he was the lead recruiter on Webster-Chan. Hopefully TJ can win the battle this time around.

I believe you are right. His primary recruiter just left Louisville, and I'm pretty sure he did go to Missouri.

Quote from Chan,

“I just didn’t feel comfortable with all of the changes at Louisville,â€￾ he told Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop. “I had a great relationship with Coach [Mark] Lieberman and with his new role [as Director of Basketball Operations], I just didn’t feel like it was the best fit for me. I appreciate all of the Louisville fans that have showed their support for me and hope they understand.
“I will always be a Card fan because of my bro Gorgui [Dieng].â€￾

Chan was a point guard at one point. I think he is projected as a small forward in college. So yes that was one thing that is attracting everyone to him. The fact that he has point guard skills at the 3. Kind of a Scottie Pippen type player. Not as good as Pip. Just a reference point.
