Doughnut Run

My roommate did it a couple years ago and got down 24 doughnuts. He's doing it tomorrow and told him anything less than 25 is unacceptable.

Kind of surprised that this is still going. I helped come up with the idea and put on the first one. Definitely a few rough spots! Do they still give out pint glasses at the end or did they switch to something like t-shirts?

I did it about 4 or 5 years ago and they still gave away the pint glasses then. Not sure about now.

Krispy Kreme=nasty

For some reason, all of my co-workers are totally hung up on Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Whenever they buy doughnuts (which is very often), they ALWAYS buy Krispy Kreme. I've tried to get them to just once buy some other kind (there is a Winchells right next door to the Krispy Kreme), but they all act like I am asking them to buy broccoli or something.

It was supposed to be a fund raiser but the first year I think we spent so much on shipping the glasses to us that we lost money on the deal.

Just got back from the run. They gave out pint glasses again this year, and I think they had somewhere around 500 participants.

Just got home too, great day for the run. Turn out was way more than they expected but they handled it well. I really hate donuts right now.
