If Jamie had dropped Utah from the 2010 schedule and replaced it with an unranked opponent, ISU would probably have finished 6-6 and gone to a bowl game. This would have helped recruiting in particular and the program in general. He didn't, and now that's water under the bridge.
I hope Jamie doesn't repeat the mistake this year, though, by keeping the game to UConn on the schedule. I don't know how many starters return, but they did win the Big East last year and it will be an away game for the Clones.
