Blue Tuna Tides: GOD NOT BE MOCKED

I don't think that this has been posted.

SEC recruiting is dirty - we all know that. Oversigning is just the tip of the iceberg. this article only further muddies the water for them......

Article talks about Chiz, his use of the Chaplain and what he is doing now in Auburn.

If this stuff is true, yikes.

Can you give me the gist of it? I honestly couldn't read that.

The basic idea was that programs like Auburn use the chaplain position as a booster-funded access route for boosters to get to players. In this case, Lowder and Pat Dye were prominently featured players in the scheme he laid out.

So, basically using the team chaplain as a conduit for illegal funds and contact with players. The Cheating Chaplain.

money being used for recruits funneled thru the clergy/chaplain as it is then untraceable due to confidentiality. stated the fact that chiz brought a chaplain to ISU and why he retained the same one so quickly in auburn.

take some time and read the article. gist is money and recruiting.

chiz does talk a lot about 'God' and being with them - i think it is very much tied to the above and is phony-baloney.

The bolded now explains a lot.

Too bad it had to mention Kevin Lykins. For the giant uproar that caused, he's one hell of a good guy.

Here's a gem from the blog entry:

Reaction to Robinson’s Auburn pledge wasn’t so positive among his family. His grandmother, Lydia Robinson, is unhappy about his choice for many reasons and hopes he changes his mind before signing day on Feb. 2. She doesn’t think highly of Auburn’s coaches, who she says “weren’t very intelligent.”

While a lot of it is circumstantial, nobody could deny some of the details of this story are pretty disturbing. The poor writing and design of the blog will not help the story gain traction, but common sense says they're onto something. I would hope nothing bad happens to ISU because of the chaplain situation. If the NCAA remains consistent we'll get punished for any lying and cheating Chiz may have done before Auburn ever does.

If the cheating chaplain is true, why the hell didn't chiz cheat better here. If he would have left us after a 10 win season instead of a 2, I would have felt better. Now our name is being dirtied up and we didn't get **** out of it.

I'm guessing the missing ingredient at ISU is no big $$ boosters willing (or able) to support the under the table recruting tactics that are common in the SEC. Call it sour grapes but I think Gene did not want to try to win the hard way.

All I know is that Trooper Taylor looks like the biggest buffoon on the sidelines I've ever seen. What an idiot.

Why would this money be untraceable? There's pretty much an audit trail for everything. And why would there be confidentiality?

My response to the article is go to 4:52

Clergy can be audited just like normal people so their finances are not confidential.

Also, is Trooper Taylor the guy on the Auburn Sidelines in the National Championship game with his white hat on backwards and a really baggy sweatsuit? I was wondering who that guy was the whole game, from his appearance I really didn't think he was a coach.
