Another DUI Arrest at EIU (Wrestling)

Honestly, that's the kind of stance that should be taken. This case is still a big deal, IMO. DUI's are serious, but the public intox/PAULA/etc. charges are not newsworthy (or worth adding to an "arrest count"). But DUI's are still on the board with gun/drug/sexual assault/etc.

I've got to agree with this. PAULA's and public intox are important to coaching staffs as they do give some insight into a player's discipline, they are not needed to be reported on the news and message boards. With everything being reported nowadays it has lumped all alcohol related incidents into the same category and has minimized the severity of stuff like DUI's. While drinking underage may be a signal to a coach that a player should be monitored a little more closely, it isn't even in the same ballpark as when that player gets behind a wheel. Is it really going to take someone dying before college kids realize how serious DUI's are?
