There are other problems than just the snow in TCF stadium (taken from Yahoo Sports)

1.TCF Bank Stadium was last used on Thanksgiving weekend when Minnesota defeated Big 10 rival Iowa, 27-24. Since then the field has been winterized, as there was no plan to use it again for a major event until next year.

2. Because no beer sales are allowed for college events held on campus, there are no beer taps installed at the concession stands of TCF Bank Stadium. Officials are discussing whether alcohol will be sold at the game. With those cold temperatures and Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback, Vikings fans are going to need some.

3. Those concession stands are going to have bigger issues than a lack of Budweiser. They weren't designed to withstand temperatures less than 30 degrees. Overnight lows on Monday are forecasted to be near zero, with a windchill of -15.

I think the biggest issue would be with the tickets. How do you handle what Metrodome tickets correlate to what seats at this stadium? Is it just going to be general admission for anyone with a ticket?

I was at the Minnesota-Iowa game...sigh... and that day, it was only 20 degrees or so.

Nothing I'd like more than to go out in freezing temps to shovel a stadium for a 5-8 team.

At least when you're shoveling, you can stay warm. Imagine sitting through the game in dangerously cold temps, watching an under-performing mess of a team flop around on the field.

Hopefully they do a thorough job. When I went to the Minnesota-Iowa game, there was still a few inches of snow/ice/ice water on the front row floor. Nothing like having your feet on top of an icebox to help keep you warm...

Short of freak storms or something, no. Big Ten season tends to end right around Thanksgiving. Usually doesn't get to cold up here at that time. At least, when compared to mid-to-late December.

EDIT: I'd give you some stats, but they only have monthly data, and that's misleading because you're counting the whole month of November when you really only need data from the last week or so.

I just read on Twitter they are still working on it and ESPN released a statement saying they plan on the game being in Minneapolis, with their crews arriving tomorrow.
