Don't know how I feel about this. They could be getting a steal because of his recent injury issues or they could be getting a complete dud. It's risky, but the Cubs need to do something.

The did a very similiar thing to get Dempster when he was coming off of a major injury in 2004 and that worked out pretty well. If they can get Webb for cheap, it's worth the risk.

Similar to what the A's did with Ben Sheets last year? That did not work out well...but it is worth a shot if you can sign him cheap. Just not for the $10 million the A's gave Sheets.
