Virus from Hawkeye Nation

Just a warning: followed a link from a thread on this site a few days ago to Hawkeye Nation, and AVG opened up a virus warning. Ended up with the "Google redirect virus." Maybe others have to. If you have, I had to use Norton Power Eraser to get rid of it.

Just a heads up. Last time I go to that site.

I had a warning last week from there also.

How did you know that they know about it unless you went back and looked on the site?

I Googled "Hawkeye Nation virus" while looking for a fix, and the Google search synopsis shows up a few pages from their site. It has only a few sentences in the summary.

But I didn't actually click on the link and visit the site.

So THAT's where the virus came from? I reamed my kids out for that. Cost me 80 bucks to get my PC cleaned.
