Doing some research, McDermott was 14-18 overall in conference games in Hilton Coliseum. 8 of the 14 wins came against Colorado and Nebraska. I really believe Fred will get us consistently winning 7 of 8 conference games at Hilton. Steal a road win or two each year and you are looking at some sort of post season play. Fred's style of play is exactly what we need to bring the Magic back. ESPN the Magazine polled Big 12 players before this season and they voted Hilton the quietest venue in the Big 12. You can bet that will change with the Mayor now in charge.

There is no way Hilton is quieter than Colorado. Every time I watch there games, it looks like there are only a few hundred people there. We aren't as loud as we used to be but no way we are the quietest.

The McDermott era killed Hilton and Hilton Magic, simple as that.

And apparently a number of people can't find their way out of the McDermott era. Please people, let it go!!! This is a fun, exciting team, stop dwelling in the past. It seems like every other post on MBB has to do with last years team.

He was 14-18 at home and 4-28 on the road in Big 12 conference games. That's about as bad as it can get.

I find it interesting that McD was 49-41 in conference games when at UNI. That's not nearly as good as I was expecting.
