really as much as anything the offensive line play this year was the downfall of this team. at the start of the year they were getting dominated, about mid-year they really showed improvement and we began to run the ball which resulted in winning. Then Lamaak got hurt, then Burris. Last game of the year and we had basically guys at three new positions. Lamaak at RT, Alvarez at C and Smith at LG. We need to develop some depth so guys can stay anchored at their best spots. Lichtenberg got mauled at RT last week after Burris went down. I know they want to move KO inside to guard, but Bykowski, Licht, Burris have to really grab hold of the tackle spots. Farniok seems to be the chosen one at C, hopefully Caspers can provide backup at guard or start if KO stays at LT. Other young guys like Graham, Dika, need more time

The good thing is the pieces are already here.

A lot of Question Marks on Offense

We have 3 huge question marks on offense next year: QB, WR and OL.

I think our OL will be OK. We lose a couple seniors, but hopefully the foundation is there in Burris and Osemele. Moving Osemele to guard will probably help both the run and passing games. Osemele had a number of procedure penalties this year and maybe that was because he is a step slow at tackle.

Hicks returns and hopefully another year in the system will help him. Then the only question marks would be C and T. We have recruited OL pretty strongly in Rhoads first couple years, so hopefully we will start seeing the dividends next fall.

I definitely see a smaller, quicker line that might be able to sustain blocks.
