Two years ago when we came to ISU on our recruiting trip and you were the first person we had contact with. You were funny, personable and a fine young man. Hell
you sold us on ISU and we thank you for that. During the past two years james has told us how you gave him tips and just generally helped him with being so far from home and learning the ins and outs of college football. We hope your injury is not serious and you will be back for our bowl game and hopefully the missouri game. We know you will be in the stands for many years to come.Anyway thanks again and you are a fine young man indeed. Good luck in your future. Go Cyclones

Austen gave his heart, soul, and body to Iowa State. Three coaching changes, some terrible years, and a lot of critical fans and he has never been negative. He is what makes me proud to be a cyclone.

I think it's already been said that he will not play Saturday. Maybe James could beat out JT in practice this week? As for the bowl game I hope to god you're right.

I met AA real quick in Boulder, a good man. You can tell he was emotionally hit with the news. His injury occurred doing what he does, fighting for extra yardage and carrying guys.

Good luck in the future, we wish nothing but the best for you!

Amen to that...

Thank you, Austen, for being a true Cyclone through and through!!

That is a very classy post! It tells us a lot about the Capello family. We are honored to have your family be a part of the Cyclone family. Thanks for posting that and good luck to James. I'm sure that Austen appreciates your post very much also. Go Cyclones!

Would anyone be surprised to find Austen in coaching or public relations role at ISU? He has more love for this place than any player I can remember in a long time. I think it would tie in nicely with the "Bring Them Back" campaign that JP is using in his coaching selections.

I said in an earlier thread that I thought he would be a good asset as a grad assistant.

Classy post. I am really glad we have the Capello family in cyclone nation. Couldn't agree more with the original post. Austen is a true cyclone forever. That would be awesome if he became a grad assistant. I could see it happening.

I really think that the only reason that he fumbled on that play is because the pain got to be too much. It pained even me to watch him. He has been a great ambassador for this university and for the program.

I think his dad John had his ISU career end the same way and was unable to finish out his senior year due to a knee injury.

He might be the toughest son of a ***** I've seen in cardinal and gold. He'll always be one of my favorite Cyclones. It's a damn shame to see his career end the way it did.

I'm confused, is that plus 128 or plus ten million?

Anyway, I agree about Arnaud. Great Cyclone who has conducted himself well and gave 110% every Saturday.
