If not a total melt down, it is getting a little "soupy" over there. An example follows:

I want StoopsReplyCan't believe I just said that but it's the only thing to do. Ferentz will never get rid of KOK and Norm so that means we will do the same F'n thing next year against these jokers. Screw it, I want Stoops. Ferentz can go to the NFL, I don't care anymore. I'm sick of this crap.

12 - 0 prediction......(crickets)
Big Ten Title prediction......(crickets)
Rose Bowl prediction......(crickets)
"Hawkeye Insider" prediction that Northwest will fall for sure to Iowa......(crickets)

The funnel is getting narrower to the point that Jon Miller may be due to be correct. But I doubt it

I thought iowa would make the rose bowl. I thought iowa would win the big ten. I thought iowa state would make a bowl.

I was wrong..

Iowa fans aren't arrogant at all.... Jon Miller only predicted that they'd be in the National Championship at 12-0 before the season began.

And even after Indiana basically beat them last week, Miller was still predicting the Sugar Bowl for his Hawks.

Heck, Stanzi was headed to NY for the Heisman up until this week too.

I'm guessing Miller will lower his expectations next year and predict an 11-1 finish and a Rose Bowl.

I love how people slam Iowa fans for having high expectations. Iowa was ranked pre-season top 10. They've obviously fallen of from that (3 losses by a combined 11 points), but it's not like those expectations were completely unreasonable.

I was thinking the same thing. The largest margin Iowa has lost by is 7 since the 2008 season. I don't understand how it is unreasonalbe to have high expectations when your team is cabable of winning and competitive in every game they play in.

I predicted the team would be 9-3 going into the bowl game with losses to AZ, tOSU, and WIS or MSU. But I also thought it was just as likey Iowa could be 11-1 going into the Rose Bowl.

At least Iowa won their Super Bowl earlier this year... :twitcy:

Clone fans must either have no expectations or always live up to the ones they have.

Correction: Clone fans look at the season objectively and are far more realistic. It comes with living through many years of bad football. Perhaps you just need to learn to temper your expectations a bit more.

I remember when ISU got killed by Iowa earlier this year we all thought Iowa would be undefeated or only have one loss to Ohio State. If I was an Iowa fan I would have been expecting atleast a Rose Bowl. Can't really blame them, but the fans that want Ferentz gone are crazy.

Wrong. Every fan base has some fans that are pessimistic, and some that are optimistic.

This year we could have gone 9-3, just like we could've gone 3-9. Football is a game of inches and to predict perfectly how a team is going to do before the season is impossible.
