Another Streak for Rhoads to End

We're talking about a team there that may not even be bowl eligible. I was having my sights set to something a little higher like at least a Top 25.
The last time we beat a ranked Big 12 team at home was 05 against #22 Colorado.
But, the Texas Tech win this year was definitely big.
You could also argue that the win against Mizzou in 2006 was a pretty big win, they ended the season 8-5.

Iowa 2005 would be the last ranked team we beat in JTS

EDIT: I stand corrected. Forgot CU was ranked

We all thought Tech was going to be pretty legit that early in the season.

What's your definition of pretty legit? I don't think anyone out there thought Tech was any better than a mid-range bowl eligible team. We knew they weren't a Top 25.

I think the "big" part of that victory was the 52 points.

Pretty sure the results on that Mizzo game are unofficial.
Pinkel claims they won.

And that same colorado team lost the rest of their games that year and backed into the big 12 championship game only to get beat by texas 70-3.

The tech win this year was just as big. And the nebraska win last year was much bigger than the texas win this year.

nebraska went 10-4. Texas will barely be bowl eligible. thats what does it for me

My reasons for Texas being greater:
1. More national pub. We were basically the first highlights of every halftime/postgame, and were mentioned several times during broadcasts such as Mizzou vs. Oklahoma.
2. Recruiting in Texas
3. National attention with beating Texas. People follow Texas, even people that don't pay attention much to college football.
4. Game could not be called a fluke.
5. A lot of people were watching.
