Can anyone confirm that the old tradition of Chili and Beers still exists? I was at the bar a few years ago after a game but havent been there for Chili in the morning since I left school.

Do they still open at 6am?

Heard of a big group of my friends going tomorrow morning. If I remember correctly, it's a bigger deal for earlier games, which we haven't had much of lately.

Nothing starts the day off like chili and beer at 6 AM at the Top, just wish every order came with a bar of the medicated soap you'll need after being in there.

Thanks for the confirmation everyone! My mom has wanted to do this since I first told her about it and it has only taken me 10yrs to get her there but we will be out in full force tomorrow am!!

I will make sure we bring some disinfectant, shouldnt be a problem since I will be going with 3 nurses. I sure one of them will have that hand sanitizer stuff.

GO STATE!

Just remember, that stuff's only good for about 2 minutes after you apply it, so eat fast!

That would most likely be a prairie fire (Jose Cuervo and Tabasco) if he's doing things the right way.

:arghh:Ugh.....the Prairie Fire, I just about lost my breakfast thinking about taking another one of those. Those were terrible.

That looks delicious!

I think that you forgot the :jimlad:. That looks disgusting! Not saying that I wouldn't eat it because that's the fun of the Tip Top, but any other day of the year you wouldn't catch me anywhere near that bowl of chili. Every Cyclone fan needs to go there for beer and chili at least once.

I'll be the gray haired guy farting in the corner. Stop and say HI!! I'll give you a signal when it is safe to approach!

The Tippity Top was one of my favorite game day experiences when I was in school (graduated '06). To do things right:
1) Tie one on Friday night
2) Arrive at Tip Top 5-5:30 still drunk from the night before
3) Bring a case of beer to drink (and share) while waiting for doors to open @ 6
4) Have a bowl of Chili and some pitchers of beer
5) If it's your first time----->Prairie Fire Shot
6) Play the fight song on the Juke Box and Sing along

Exactly.
Then pass out in the parking lot of the tailgate in either a flat bed truck, your friends car, or try and stumble home, and get lost on Country Club Blvd
