I know alot of people are excited about him. This kid, hands down will be the most athletic and high flying player we have ever had by the time he leaves.
Look at his beastly moves.
Cant wait to see him develop as well.

I like the sound of that!!

The last player at Iowa State with the nickname Mel was pretty good.

Anyone remember who that was???

I don't get that analogy at all. Because he's athletic? They're really quite dissimilar when you get down to the nuts and bolts.

I've not seen Mel in person (yet), and this is the first video clip of him I've watched.

That said, based on this video alone, I can understand the RC compare.

Care to elaborate on the dissimilarities?

He doesn't know, most likely trying to stir something up. I mean really dissimilar i am sure in some ways but this guy plays like him. And just like RC he was a fan favorite. Seems to be with ejim as well.

I don't think that he'll even be the most "high-flying" member of the team next year. Elgin Cook is a freak athlete.

The player he reminds me of is Jeff Grayer. Sort of under the radar, but smart and solid in all aspects. I agree, I think he will be a great player.

They are actually quite different other than the great athletic ability.

my first thought in thinking about our new small forward was to compare him to tinsley. that seems fair.

wait a second, jeff grayer, our all time leading scorer, that's a better comp.

RC was a great defender and freakish athlete.

His scoring came from garbage clean up and by being in the right place for an assist deep in the post. He wasn't ever able consistently create his own shot. He looked rushed on offense. Maybe tried to force the game's pace too much. This, by no means, is meant as a knock on Rahshon. He played his game. He is still one of favorite all time Cyclones.

The film I've seen of Ejim, he shares very little with RC other than perhaps his defense and explosiveness off the floor. Ejim has a better shot and handle. He seems to let the game come to him. He doesn't look like he is forcing anything.

Ejim reminds me more of a guy like (dare I say it) Barnes. Barnes is as smooth on the floor as anyone I can recall. Ejim is nearly as silky. He flows down the court and is smooth all the way to the hoop. Nothing looks disjointed. I think this comes from being a smart player in addition to have the athletic talents he has. He knows where he is going with the ball at all times.

My 2 cents.

...the most athletic and high flying player we have ever had...

Ever is a mighty long time. I'll set the over/under on your age at 19.

I make a motion we let the kid play a game or sixty before crowning him the most anything ever.

I cant think of any Cyclone he

reminds me of. The only player i can think of is Harrison Barnes. What if...what if...

Thanks for the post. That kid can really get up.

Hele...I literally lol'd at your sig. Nice work.

just from the video I've seen, not as athletic as Clark but better
all-around game. Bigger than Grayer with similar skill set, does that make him as good as Grayer? Of course not. Athleticism was only a small part of Jeff's game.
