I have to admit...I was sitting here watching the football this afternoon and I saw some leaves blowing around on the deck and I got excited for the first snow.

I am not excited about the prospect of working in it but I really do like winter and snow, always have.

You and me both. I'm about to spend my first winter back in Iowa in a long time and I'm dreading all the 'predictions' I've been hearing.

I live near Steamboat Springs. It snowed today but the snow was at the 9,000 foot elevation level and up. Tomorrow we will get the snowfall.

Loveland opened for skiing today.

I am already excited or our annual trip out to Breck. I would really like to ski Steamboat someday, I have heard really good things about the skiing and the town.
