Arnaud wasn't perfect. He missed a few throws, but he did lead the team to a huge win over Texas which is the first time that's happened in school history by the way. How many posts are there going to be calling for him to be taken out even after this huge win? Over or under 5?

The most important thing he did was MANAGE the game well today. Thats been something that has been missing since Meyer's freshman and sophmore year.

He had an alright game. Not perfect, but he didnt make horrible decisions that could easily get us in trouble with a team like texas, and that mightve been the most important thing he did today. A pick 6 momentum killer couldve doomed us.

His biggest problem is that he's incredibly inconsistent. When he's on, he's on, when he's off, look out. (and fwiw, before someone jumps on me, i think he's our best option at QB right now)

Only ISU QB to EVER beat Texas. Get two more wins and a bowl win and he will be the only ISU QB to have two Bowl wins. Love the guys heart and leadership. He is a true Cyclone and I am glad for him that he is leading his team to some accomplishments that he can be proud of every time he returns to Jack Trice in the future!

It doesn't matter and really, who cares? He's the best option we have right now and anyone who would call for his head after this game is an idiot and only proves their ignorance by doing so. We need to enjoy this win. We need to congratulate players. One of my biggest issues with ISU football, is the vocal minority that can never look at the positive. Yeah, we are ISU, guess what, we are finally winning football games that people didn't think we had a chance to win. Our players have heart, drive and passion for the game. I never doubt that about them and that's all we should ever look at. No matter what, Arnaud just beat Texas. That's all that matters.

Threw some horrible passes up in the air for anyone to grab. Our WRs did a great job in making AA look better. He threw some stupid passes that for once, didn't end up turnovers. He also made some great runs that ultimately helped us win that game.

He did great. We beat Texas for the first time ever. We beat a ranked team on the road for the first time in 20 years. We needed Austin today. So, so happy for him. I just remember him a year ago this weekend when he was as happy as anyone when he didn't play against Nebraska. So glad he can have this feeling. Leading the team to 4 touchdowns is no small feat.

Arnaud was good, not great. He managed the game, and didn't make huge mistakes. One pick, but the D bailed him out and it ended up ok. The offense looked decent today though. I'm loving the pistol look. Hope we see it more in the years to come.

The most intriguing stat is the yards per attempt. AA was at 5.9 and Gabbert was at 6.0, even though his completion percentage was about 10 points higher. Like others have said, he managed the game well and kept the turnovers to a minimum. Great win!

Too funny. A receiver actually makes a play for once and now they are making Arnaud look better. LOL Franklin could have certainly caught more balls today. I counted at least three that hit him in the hands that he dropped. Not great throws, but have to be caught by any decent receiver.

Arnaud has looked bad because of his receivers all year. Now when they actually make a play or two they are bailing him out??? LOL That ball to Williams was not a bad throw. That is what you expect a receiver to do.

It's sad that you have seen so little of that that you think it is special or something.

Does anybody know what Franklin did to get called for offensive pass interference? Because Lenz had a 30 yard reception if there was no penalty

Nothing. He literally didn't touch anyone. The slot receiver for ISU (darks or reynolds) was chucked when he tried to run a slant and they called him for blocking.

It was an unbelievable call. That call was to keep Texas in the game and everyone knew it.

he threw it up for grabs. off his back foot, wounded duck, into coverage. So yeah, that was a stupid pass made up for with a great catch!
