Again, I ask...

C'mon man make this thread after the people that he picked get to be seniors.

To answer your question, yes. I do think he is a good coach.

Go troll somewhere else *********.... Its his second season, and hes losing to the 6th ranked team in the nation with the longest home winning streak, and one of the best home records in the nation....

Do we really know Paul Rhoads is a good D-1 head football coach?
We have some stability. We compete with the teams we should compete with, and we get smoked by the teams that are clearly better than we are (exception: Nebraska last year).

I'll let you know after Chiz and Mac's players are out of here! We are still reeling from years of no recruiting.

And thats all we really should expect one year in. Sucks, but its the way it is. We dont go from 9-27 between 06-08 and expect to become suddenly competitive with top 10 teams in one year.

Dude, CPR is 10-10 at ISU after the last guy went 5-19. Yes, he's a good coach.

Jesus christ...

That does not automatically make him a good coach.

I like CPR a lot. I like his mentality and his attitute. I also like his passion. However, it is almost universally accepted that he is a "good" football coach. I'm not sure.

That said, "good" is a relative term.

As I've stated since before the season started, the schedule dictated this year would suck, and there is a section of the fan base that will be calling for Rhoads to be fired after this season. That would be the insanely overreactionary section of the fan base.

Well, if you compare him to Chizik he is an incredible coach. Auburn looks like a national champion contender and he was horrible at ISU. I must admit that he did beat Iowa and played OU close. A coach who can come to ISU and go to a bowl has got to be a good coach. End of story.

We need the pieces to put his system into place. I have no doubt he will continue to improve as time goes on. Considering he's been using mostly other coaches recruits, I think he's done pretty damn good.

Well, he certainly didn't do himself any favors by winning a bowl game in his FIRST SEASON becoming only ISU's second coach to win one. Now some idiots will expect every year to be a bcs year when if he'd won 3 games those people would be giving him another season or two to go bowling.
