A year ago, the overwhelming consensus around here was that we could make the NCAAs, the NIT was a worse-case scenario. Then we ended up winning four conference games, and the wheels fell off the wagon. Don't get your hopes up.
Don't refuse to have hopes, just because last year was a disaster. You sound like the guy who's wife left him so he says never going to date again.
I know it's a message board, which for some reason attracts the most illogical people, but I don't understand why more people can't be rational about their expectations vs hopes. It is possible to hope this team makes it to the NIT without melting down after every loss. It is possible to dream about next years team making a run without wanting to fire Freddy if it doesn't happen. All you have to have is a little perspective.
