Anybody else buy NBA Jam lately?

When the announcer said "boomshakalaka", I knew I made the right decision.

I used to absolutely love that game for super nintendo! I had heard they were bringing it back but what consoles is it available on?

Bought it for Wii last night. I'm playing as the Thunder (since the Sonics moved).

Well worth the $50. I got the last copy from Wal-Mart on 73rd in Des Moines. I was up until midnight last night playing.

Great that I own a Wii....now I'm going to get nothing accomplished over fall break the next 4 days because I will be playing NBA Jam :twitcy:

It was fun on the arcade but I never was good enough to make any particular move on purpose. Mostly a lot of movement in hopes that I would score or block a shot by accident. Still enjoyed it though.

I don't think there were any moves to be done were there? Turbo, turbo, turbo, SUPER DUNK. Turbo, turbo, turbo, forearm shiver, Turbo, pass, 3 pointer from half court.

One of the best games of all time. I love it on Super Nintendo to this day.

Agree, used to have some NBA jam battles after the bar closed, fun to this day. It also led to one of my friend's getting Chris Mullin's face tattoed on his shoulder.

You may be right but I still always felt like it was just hammering on the joystick randomly as opposed to making particular moves. Kind of like when I play fighting games like mortal kombat. I'm not much of a gamer :spinny:

I think it was this picture too!

lol i bet you were awesome at street fighter.

edit: lol didn't see you referenced mortal combat 2 posts up. good job

I had this for Sega Game Gear. Along with NFL QB Club '96.

Did anyone else ever play College Slam? It was pretty much the same thing, but a college version. I'd love to play that one again.

Definitely had all of those. It still upsets me Iowa State wasn't involved with College Slam.

My fave was Bill Walsh's College Football. I used to run roughshod with UCLA's RB Karim Abdul-Jabbar. That guy was awesome in that game.

I had College Slam for PC, and I'm pretty sure ISU was in it. They had 80+ programs. My brother was a Hawk fan as a kid, and I remember playing ISU v. Iowa in it. Perhaps all the mental demolition I partook in during college has twisted some of this up, and I have it confused w/NCAA Football '98 (EA Sports first pressing of the game), but I could have sworn ISU was on the PC version.
