As we will be seeing the stadium in Ames this weekend.......

Would have loved to see the Cyclones play at Utah next year but ...

... hopefully the return trip will happen sometime down the road.

Are you making the trip to Ames?

Got to admit, that is a sweet shot of the stadium with the background of the city and especially the mountains in the sunset.

And just for those of you who hate JT and are going to come on here saying how nice there stadium looks and they aren't in a BCS school, etc... The Utes stadium got some nice money and renovations back in '02 for being a part of the winter olympics, so it isn't just the college and the athletics program that built the stadium that it is today.

Wow, that Olympic $$$ did you well. Looks a lot better than it did when I was out there in 1997.

Anybody familiar with JTS can look at the Utah stadium and easily establish that JTS can fit more people.

Utah has a nice stadium, no doubt.

I was at the Ute stadium this summer. It looks great, but officials there told me they have to add on to meet the requirements of the Pac 10. It basically a lower deck stadium in a bowl shape. We have a big upper deck they don't have. Still, very attractive stadium, and will take shape with the addition. The officials there are concerned about finding the money for the addition.

I always enjoy going out to "SL,UT".

The people are very nice, the city is really clean. It would have been a great experience for all the Cyclone Fans heading out there.

They have to add on for the Pac 10? No way that should be true. That stadium crushes Washington State's in every way:

37,600 capacity

Our Stadium has 45,500 seats. (not sure after the latest remodel on exact number) It just has the 4 corners GA Hills that increases it into the 50's.

That is probably not new info for 95% of the people on here. This is the longest running debate on this board it feels like.

And also...

Stanfords new stadium holds 50K
Oregon St - 45K
Oregon - 54K
CU - 53K

I would say Utah is fine. If Utah needs upgrades then so does OSU and WSU

Yea, if you throw out the stadiums in L.A. the pac 10 stadiums are very comparable to ours capacity-wise. The big 10 and SEC are where you find the big stadiums.
