The Rex Grossman Experiment

Rex Grossman is our quarterback.
Rex Grossman is our quarterback.
Rex Grossman is our quarterback.

Sorry.

It's gotta be frustrating CW...you and I have hashed this out many times. He just is not getting better - same mistakes again and again.

If only he would realize, he just needs to drive the bus and not be a gunslinger, he'd be just fine - and so would the Bears.

The hardest thing for me to understand is that he has a boat-load of talent, but he must have the worst brain in the NFL. He has all of the tools to be a great QB...just not the mind.

I was hearing whispers of Donovan McNabb coming to Chicago next year...I'll take it.

Put me in coach, I'm ready to play!

Yeah, put that blondie in, she'd probably do ok.

Dallas really didn't deserve to win this game (pending they hold on), they had so many penalties - shooting themselves in the foot.

Or, a person could say without the self-inflicted wounds - this would be a blowout.

I study math very good, it be like dis:

Tony Romo > Rex Grossman
Dallas Cowboys > Chicago Bears

Couldn't have asked for anything better tonight being that my dad is a Bears fan and I am a diehard Cowboy fan...

For all the people who talk crap about Rex Grossman: yes, he sucks overall...he can have glimpses of greatness, but he is too inconsistent, BUT wtf do you expect the Bears to do? Their backups are Griese and Orton!! Also, have you looked at the free agent QB's right now?? not much there. So they would have to do a big trade to get anything that will be an upgrade, and they will have to give up A LOT, bcuz Grossman isn't worth jack crap on the trading block.

'How bout them Cowboys!!! 3-0 baby!

Regarding Grossman, as Hawk Harrelson from the White Sox broadcast booth would say, "He gone!"

BUT wtf do you expect the Bears to do?

There is a thing called the draft. Also, there is free agency.

Do something. Almost anyone can tell, watching the last few seasons - Rex just isn't the answer. Leftwich was out there for a long time.

IMO, Leftwich > Grossman.

Rexy started off last season great. He had 7 games of over 100 QB rating. Thing is, I believe 6 of those were in the first 6 games. Then, the downhill slide began (for that season).

As I type this, Rex just tossed another pick.

He hasn't cracked 60 or 70 yet this year for a QB rating. His team is 1-2 and he's playing a major role in it being that way, instead of 3-0 or at worst - 2-1. Rex plays average or better tonight and the Bears win - or it's very close.

So, the Bears have done this to themselves. Much like we're all upset at Shaggy for the missed kicks and most of that is the Cyclone's fault for not recruiting a better kicker - fans should be upset at Grossman - no doubt. But be more upset with the Bears coaches/staff for not doing something about this debacle at QB.

Talent exists everywhere else - good and great talent. One guy is almost single-handedly sinking the whole team.

I hate the Cowboys, and the Packers too. And they are both 3-0. I guess that's what I get for choosing to follow the Vikings at a young age. And then for some crazy reason, I picked ISU...

People down here will be insufferable tomorrow...

Are you watching the same game as me?? Dallas didn't deserve to win this game?!?!

Let's see they had a phantom P.I call on T.O. A terrible block in the back call that was far from it, and another phantom holding call on Jones run down to the 2. (Let's not even get into the clock thing at the end of the half) and yet they are still going to win 34-10. I would say they more than deserved it.

I don't even like the Cowboys. I get sick of my families love for the team, but I think it is pretty obvious they are on of the better teams in the league and Romo is not just a 1 year wonder. The boy can play. He reminds me of Favre

He certainly sank my fantasy team by himself.

Right on. Despite the sloppy play by Dallas in the first half (penalties, drops that resulted in Romo's interception and the dropped TD pass that led to the blocked FG) and the phantom penalties and the clock operator letting the clock run out to end the half, Dallas destroyed Chicago.

I was furious at hafltime because the game was tied, yet it felt like we had dominated the game. I'm glad the score ended up showing that.
