They did fine without him last year - They're going to win the Big 10 now, anyway - didn't you hear?!?!
They did fine last year without him because they had Wegher. Things have changed since last year. Now ARob is their only main back.
That's why RB depth is huge. This wouldn't be big news if Wegher was still there. Without Wegher now depth is a big question.
This is really shaping up to be the year of football expectations going to **** in the state of Iowa. Maybe things will be reversed come basketball season.
Well, we still have Paki, Rogers, Johnson and Coker. However experience and previous injuries are concerns there as well.
Not having Hampton in pass protection is certainly an issue. I remember he absolutely lit up a defender while blocking for Stanzi. He also had that TD catch.
As much as I hate the schmuckeyes, that is not good news. No kid deserves the luck he has had the last two seasons.
Wow you wonder if you will ever see him play again, tearing ACLs in both knees is not a good sign for the future for Hampton. As a side note, Davis is out for the year too. And how is Paki the backup? Man he took a hit he will remember for a long time.
I feel bad for him, he has no luck at all. Unfortunately he might just be one of those guys that gets hurt all the time and spend their entire career in rehab.
That sucks for Hampton, its tough to come back from 1 injury like that let alone 2. Was it Albert Young who went through similiar injuries for Iowa? Its also a big deal for the Hawks, even though they will downplay it for sure. THe one positive is that Iowa's a good system from RB's. Pretty much everyone they've put back there as been productive, so I don't expect them to lose much production as far as yards and carries go but it will hurt the little things like helping out in the passing game.
