Fans and TV talking head/sports radio types say this all the time. How do we know this is true? Maybe a better question is "How do we know he is a good HEAD football coach"?

Can anyone explain to me why this is so widely accepted as a fact?

A team that won 2 games the previous year under another coach had a winning record the following season?

If you have to ask, maybe you can find another team and spare the rest of us your less than insightful questions.

He is a good coach. Even good coaches can't coach teams with no talent. Take Spurrier for example. he was a great coach at Florida. Now he is a decent coach. Did he forget how to coach??? No he does not have the talent that he had.

I know this is way too rational, but let's relax a little bit. The last two weeks have been tough. We'll learn a lot more about this coaching staff after the next couple games... do we rebound, or do we reenact 2008?

Best thing about a loss?

Your abundance of doosh posts.

Not to mention he just went head to head with bill Snyder who is considered one of the best coaches ever. He had less talent and almost pulled it off. That is good coahcing.

PR = good coach... good clock management and game plan ....

-keep

Ah yes....PR went from savior to fool overnight. And now the first hint that people are going to want his head if this team wins 3 or 4 games.

he's the football coach who can't beat Iowa or Clone Of Iowa er Kansas State!!!!

Oh, you mean Paul Rhoads! I don't know who Paul Rhodes is but he must enjoy all this undue recognition for being ISU's head coach.

Seriously guys, get his damn name right. It's like Iowa fans saying Kirk Fa-rentz.

Gee it's funny, but people rip on Mac for blowing sunshine all the time, and the first thing that CPR says on the postgame show is "it was a showcase of effort by great Iowa State student-athletes."

You know how I know Paul Rhoads is a good coach? Because were outplayed and outmatched in every facet of the game and still had a legitimate shot to win by the end of the game.

PR can go from good to great if he uses Tiller instead of Arnaud next week. The four year sample size is good enough, we know what we have. We also have a small one-game sample size for Tiller (nebraska). I'd like to see him get his feet wet this season.

I don't think that coaching is the problem here. I'm not thrilled with some of the calls on O, especially on the last drive... Maybe AA is lights out in practice against our D and is shocked to deal with other Ds... I think that defensively we are doing the best with what we've got. Our offense is really not looking very good.

people rip on Mac due top the fact he just didn't get it done in the North when it was waaay down.

along with horrible coaching.

lets compare DMac and CPR in several years.

my guess is that CPR will have a better record in that time.
