Can KSU stop our spread offense?

KSU defense is no where close to how good Iowa's is. Iowa probably does have the best defense in the nation...sadly to say

I'm guessing we'll score at least 10 points. Anything beyond that.. no guarantee. Not from what I've seen since Tom Herman's been here.

I don't know why you think Herman is the problem. Iowa had a great defense and they are not going to give up big points to anyone this year. Without the really bad mistake with penalties and turnovers ISU would have dropped 50 on Northern IL two weeks ago. Penalties and turnovers are on the players, not the coaches. Until AA stops turning the ball over 3 times a game, the points scored are not going to be great.

We'll be able to move the ball. I think an underrated storyline to this game is that A-Rob barely played last year against these guys. Nobody seems to really be talking about that. I know it's different teams, but I still think it's worth noting.

Anyway, we'll definitely be able to move the ball against these guys. It all comes down to execution in the red zone and eliminating turnovers.

Brandon Harold and Emanuel Lamur are pretty good athletes on their defense, and if we can keep Harold off of AA's back and not let Lamur wreak havoc in the secondary, our offense should have a nice day.

This!!!! AA is our own worst enemy right now... not the opposing defense. Until he can bring it on game day, we will go as he goes... which is inexcusable. We knew last year he could not perform on game day, yet we did not go out and get a great JUCO QB. This should have been done as soon as the staff came on board, it was clear then AA was questionable on gameday.

When AA brings it then we can start talking about the rest of the offense.

i think we will score in the 20s.

but we only scored 17 against colorado last year. whatthe****

Tell me what Tom Herman has done for our offense since he's been here? Where did we rank in the offensive stats last year? I'll tell ya... about dead last.

He told us how much better AA was this year... and he has 6 INT's in two games, plus numerous other horrible throws.

The gameplan against Iowa was about as bad as you could possibly scheme against the kind of defense they have. It was horrible. As bad as AA was, most of it was because of the situations that Tom Herman put him in.

Don't get me wrong, Tom Herman's a nice enough guy, he just hasn't shown anything yet since he's been here that says he deserves a paycheck IMO. I hope it changes... QUICK. The players are just kids out there, they aren't getting huge money like Tom Herman is. The least he could do is give them a chance at succeeding.

Tell me a game since he's been here that was won by our offense? We lose against NIU if not for Jake Knott IMO. Nebraska last year. The bowl game last year. Defense won those games. Is it too much to ask for this so-called high powered spread attack to win a game or two against someone?

chizik told tom herman that we don't have the players on this roster to win games

And it's apparent that Tom Herman believes this as well.

I hear some people talking about how we don't have any playmakers on this team. Ok... so let me get this straight.... we've been completely neglecting our D-line and LB recruiting the last 2 years to bring in tons of RBs and WRs... but none of them are any good? Who's fault is that?

We've recruited predominantly offensive players for Tom Herman since he's been here, but now we don't have any good offensive threats. C'mon. I don't believe it. This offensive scheme has been worthless thus far. I'm looking to see some BIG improvement... starting this weekend. Play to everyone's strengths. AA is not a dropback passer by any means. Get the ball out of his hands, QUICK. Get it into our WRs and RBs hands in space. Run some counter and mis-direction once in a while to keep defenses honest. Take a deep shot a couple times each half just to keep them honest as well.

Iowa took deep shots on us, to prevent us from putting 8-9 guys in the box, and look what it did... HUGE plays. Iowa's offense was more "spread" than ours was on Saturday.

1. Get the ball out of arnauds hand quickly
2. Arnaud can't complete slant passes and struggles to throw screens and hitches accurately as well. This is what i have observed.

This is a problem

2 INT vs. NIU
3 INT vs. EIU

That equals 5, not 6. Add first, become OC after you can add.

I dislike your crybaby approach to bashing a coach. Seems petty after playing just 2 games so far this season.

Drink your juice, kiddo.

You convinced me, 15 game shas been long enough to prove his worth at our historically strong football school. We should fire him.

Seriously this BS about just throwing blame all over certain individuals is a bunch of ********.

Was it Hermans fault that we couldn't stop Kansas last year? Was it his fault ARob was injured for the KSU game last year? Was it his fault we were in an illegal formation in the NIU game when AA went for a TD? Is it his fault that AA wasn't accurate, the line didn't block and the WRs didn't catch last week?

Don't get me wrong, our offense has not been what I imagined and I am disappointed. I am also, however, not shortsighted enough to think that it was likely for him to turn this around in one year. The talent isn't there, plain and simple. to think he could have brought it in in one class is ridiculous.

As for the JUCO QB bit-Who was the guy we were supposed to go get? My lord, I didn't imagine one loss could turn everyone against the whole team.
