First of all, talk about redemption. I remember reading an article about him and he said something to the effect that he was really hoping to get one more chance with the game on the line to win one.
I realize that the kicks he's missed in the past were in bigger games (Big XII Title implications), but I can't help but be thrilled for not only the Cyclones, but for Shaggy.
He's improved every year and I figured that the kicks he's missed this year were tough anyway. So it's great to see that he won a game for us. This bodes very well for the rest of the season.
We needed a heart-attack type win to maybe change the way the team thinks. No one needs to focus on the lack of touchdowns, simply the win. Shaggy gave the team exactly what it needed. Congratulations to him.
