Number 2 in that class. Baylor recruiting is crazy good. Even though they probably cheat a litt.e

How do they get players like that to Baylor? Serously...you hardly have any crowd at your games, you cant drink on campus, and its Baylor...come on

ya-because he is out-recruiting all of them. have they been sanctioned/governed by the ncaa? how have they cheated?
John Calipari hasn't been either at Kentucky. Let's not forget about Thuggins. Or how about Bill Self. None of those guys have been sanctioned either.

Careful there is a list of coaches that cannot be deemed clean on this site. You will get ripped apart for saying that Baylor is a clean program.

It is baylor. What top 25, hell top 100 recruit would go to Baylor? They can play ball anywhere else in the nation. Sorry its kinda fishy if you ask me. Its only a matter of time Baylor will get in trouble.

for what? what have they done? i don't follow Baylor other then the few times we compete against them. how are they cheating and getting away with it right now? if it was so obvious, why hasn't something been done about it yet?

So if within the next 5 years Coach Hoiberg is bringing in top 10 national level talent you wouldn't be a little curious about how he is managing to bring kids that good to Ames, Iowa? C'mon...the man is cheating, no other way around it.

Honestly, good for Baylor. I'd rather players like this going to them more so than KU or Texas right now. This is their time in the sun, and they are taking major advantage of it.

the main problem most coaches have with Scott Drew is that he is a dirty recruiter, as not going Blue Chips with guys, but talks a ton of trash on other schools to the players. Bill Self, Mike Anderson and Frank Martin all have said such. He highlights things that are bad about other schools instead of focusing on what is good about his school. More of a Karma thing.

Big 12 coaches have called out Drew on his recruiting tactics. Not just crazy coaches either. Texas head basketball coach called him out a year ago. There is an article about it if you can find it.
Drew talks crap about every program. It's not the way to go about it. Frank Martin actually called him out on it also.

Scott Drew cheats. There is a reason that Bob Knight cornered him in a bathroom and chewed him out for the way he is recruiting.

All you have to do is think. What top 5 recruit would go to Baylor after everything that went on there this decade AND the fact that they have had no success in basketball until last year? He's getting players unethically.

And its freakin WACO. I know Ames isn't Manhattan but cmon!

Going to be the devils advocate here just for the fun of it...

A lot of people have made statements that you need to get the players in to get winning because once you start winning then you can start bringing in players of high caliber. Baylor, in the past 3 years, has 2 NCAA tournament births and a NIT Final game under the belts. They finished the year last year at #10 and are generally looked at as a team on the rise.

If you were to remove Baylor from those statements and place Iowa State there in a couple years we would be expecting to bring in talented recruits. So why is it surprising that a team on the rise is attracting good players. What is so different with what they are doing compared to what we want Iowa State to do. ISU is taking some risks on transfers to try to be able to win in the near future.

Also, what makes you think that the other coaches in the Big 12 don't bring up the negatives about the other schools? Do you honestly think the Rick Barnes doesn't mention that Waco is a wasteland where there is nothing to do, or do you think when a player tells him that they are considering Baylor that he just mentions that the basketball team arena in Austin has a large depiction of the state of Texas on it?

So, will Fred Hoiberg be a cheater if he gets good players to come to ISU? Why should any top recruit come to ISU given what has gone on in the MBB program over the last few years?

It would help your cause to post some actual evidence against Scott Drew, instead of using faulty logic to convict him.

Also, I like what you did with your avatar. People should use self-portraits for their avatar more often...

I guess I had never heard about this. When did this happen? Was it fairly "well documented"?
