Some Conversations with Cyclones

So there I was trying to pick out another Hummer for my collection when a bunch of cyclones see my black tigerhawk from afar.

(To protect the innocent (innocently stupid), we will use the following descriptive names: DMACC Dropout, Marshalltown CC Dropout, and West Des Moines Valley High Graduate)

DMACC dropout- ya my cyclones are easily the best team in the big 12.
me-really? you think you will be the best in the big 12 this year?
DMACC dropout- ya we have arnaud last year he is tremendous and had an all-big 12 year.
me-IDK you have a lot tougher schedule
DMACC dropout- ya we have a coach that is won national coach of the year last year
me- really I thought Saban won that.
DMACC dropout- Saban coaches the Dolphins
me- laughing uncontrollably

Marshalltown CC Dropout-Wow how about my clones saving the big 12.
me- you mean getting saved by Texas?
Marshalltown CC Dropout-Jamie Pollard and Texas made an agreement
me-Jeez Pollard got one heck of a deal outta them, that was nice of Texas
Marshalltown CC Dropout-Ya we have an awesome AD

West Des Moines Valley High Graduate)-We are going to own you in that stadium you call "the cornfield"
me- Nobody calls it that and its tough to win there
West Des Moines Valley High Graduate)-Kinnick is so stupid, all it is is bricks with metal bleachers, have you ever been to JTS.
me- Ya sometimes my family goes in September to have a picnic in the grass.
West Des Moines Valley High Graduate)-the atmosphere is unlike anywhere in the country, I can't wait Nebraska comes here for the last time and we send them away to the gay conference with a huge loss.
me-ya i doubt they turn the ball over 8 times
West Des Moines Valley High Graduate)-ya our football coach is so proud to be here
me- ya i think this is going to be one of his roughest years though.

Reminds me of a myth concerning the late, great Dizzy Dean when he was a color commentator in the early era of television.

During a live broadcast of a game, there was a long rain delay. In those days they didn't go to a taped event. This one cameraman focused in on a couple making out in the upper decks.

"Well, what do you think of that, Dizzy," the announcer asked.

Dizzy said, "It looks like he is kissing her on the strikes and she is kissing him on the balls."

I am going to leave everything else along because it I can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, but as far as your prediction goes, I would say I both agree with it and would call it a success.

We have arguably the toughest schedule in the nation and we'd go 5-7 with a 3 point loss to Colorado being all the kept us from bowling. My personal break even point with W/Ls for this team is 4 wins, if we get that I am "meh" but if we go over that I am happy considering where this team was (under Chizik I mean). The only thing I don't agree with is you have us beating Mizzouri as the biggest margin of victory. That won't happen, we'll beat someone (UNI?) by more than 1 score. You literally have every game we win (and about 3 we lose) being very VERY close. I hope at least part of that is right....
