NFL: Favre family says he has not made a decision

It's really ridiculous - in this era, if I were a Vikings player, I can just tweet something like "Good luck to my friend who's going to retire today" or "Best of luck, old man, enjoy your retirement" or something similar without mentioning any names and the press will pick it up, assume the guy will be Favre.

It's like a bad nightmare... that happens every August....

No kidding.

My idea of not making a decision is actually to not make a decision. Brett's idea of not making a decision is to go back and forth all the time making public statements and then retracting them. The Commish needs to step in and force this loser to retire once and for all.

It's a new sports ritual, like the world series in October, NBA finals in June, March Madness.... it's FavreGate in August!

I might be one of the only persons on the planet not annoyed... yet. Enjoying the circus that is Favre and vikings so far.

Thats because you live in Minneapolis where the entire winter and the attitude of the city hinge on his decision.

Not surprised at all. We havnt heard a thing from Favre or even Vikings officals for that matter. Tell then, i dont believe hes done.

It wasn't directed at you, just people in general. Like always, everyone was jumping all over the initial report and taking it as gospel. We're talking about Brett Favre for crying out loud.

Honestly.... if he doesn't retire I hope some nasty D-lineman officially retires him on the field. While I don't hope for players to be injured I think God will exempt me on this one when it comes time for my judgement.

I do agree with some people, they are saying the media took a "rumor" and ran with it. I guess we'll see.

Well, Favre will be seeing this guy twice every season.

He needs to make a public announcement.

I believe he's trying to find a deal and decide where he should do it: Minnesota PBS, C-Span or TruTV (his crime: for subjecting sports fan to the same boring saga every end of the summer) :jimlad:
