Sounds like his days with Minnesota might be numbered. T-Jack is the solid number 2, and the coaches are very high on Joe Webb. Combine that with some poor practice numbers and it's looking like Sage might be on the outs. Too bad.

Too bad, but at the same time I think you'd have to say Sage has over-achieved by hanging around in the NFL this long. He is going into his 10th season already and has made millions by age 32. Not bad for a kid from little Maquoketa, Iowa.

Yes, too bad, but it I don't think people can ***** and say Sage wasn't given a chance in Minney. He obviously isn't showing much given the time he has spent up there by now and yet he can't even progress beyond T Jack on the depth chart.

It would be one thing if he'd put himself into the position of being a solid backup to Favre…but he hasn't even been able to accomplish that yet.

In exhibition last year he looked considerably better than TJack. I can't for the life of me understand Chili's obsession with T-Jack. He is AT BEST an average back up QB in the NFL.

Glad to see Joe Webb playing well. He was a very solid under-the-radar college QB for UAB. I'm looking forward to seeing him in pre-season.

T-Jack is Chilly's pet project. The Vikings even traded up to get T-Jack. It's a matter of personal pride in the case of T-Jack. I think Sage is better than T-Jack but what can you say ? .

Last week KXNO had the guy on from Sota (Paul Allen?). He said that Sage got a raw deal because he never clicked with 'Chili'. It sounds like Chili has a hard time separating business and personal. But either way, they brought him in to compete for the starting role, and when that didn't happen, he was pretty much screwed. He has never had a chance to be the starter on a good team. I still think he could be a top #2, and if given a chance, a decent starter.

Exactly. Sage not being second string has nothing to do with talent or ability. If I were him I'd probably find it hard to play after all the BS I went through in Minnesota in the last year, too.

If the Vikings cut him, I would like to see Green Bay pick him up. He has to be a much better option than any other back-ups the Packers have with Matt Flynn and Graham Harrell

Can Sage look to be traded? Once Favre came on the radar he was screwed. BF is a huge name, has history....etc....=$$$ No way in hell Sage had a chance when he showed up.

His best case would to be involved in a trade with multiple people and a weak QB situation. It is all about timing in sports.....and Sage has just really been unlucky.
