Best All-Around? You are kidding right?

Honestly, I think when LeBron retires the general consensus will be that he was an all-around better player than Jordan. I could be wrong, and - as a disclaimer - I don't follow the NBA much, but I've thought that since he entered the league and haven't seen any evidence to show conclusively otherwise.

the next generation didn't see jordan play. They have only seen a few highlight reels on the legend. I fully expect them to think that kobe, lebron, or someone else is better...but they will always be wrong. Jordan is the greatest of all time (GOAT).

jordan was great, now doubt about that. Me and my dad used to eat dinner in the living room to watch every game. The thing about Jordan is he had literally the perfect team surrounding him. Part of me wonders what would of happened if rodman/pippen/kerr/longley werent around.

jordan had better competition, but he also had a much better team. Thats why i put kobe next to jordan. Lebron, albeit a lot more physical talent, his name will be forever scarred because he could never win it in cleveland.

my favorite memory of jordan is when mutumbo tried to dunk on jordan and he stuffed it entirely. Running back he turned around and waddled his finger back at mutumbo.

You say that Jordan had the perfect team around him - how much of that was because he MADE them a better team?

just as much as kobe, cmon, entire bulls starting line was the dream team, everyone executed their abilities to the best.

edit: also if u think about it, even without jordan, pippen was still leading a competitive team. would the same still happen if kobe left the lakers? not a chance

So did the lakers with kobe, shaq, horry, fischer etc. It was definitley shaq's team too so probably, but you never know. Jordan is better though, and it isn't close.

phil jackson says otherwise, and shaq is not even close to a complete player, so no it wasnt his team, he was a supporting cast

And that is your opinion because you never saw Oscar Robertson play.

Only at the beginning of his career when he couldn't win in Chicago. Frankly, the NBA of the 90s was not nearly as strong as today's NBA in my opinion.

These are all three fantastic players. I generally agree with you assessment with two exceptions:

+ Lebron is by far the best distributor/passer of these three
+ Best all around will always be debatable but you really have to see Kobe and Lebron finish their careers before you make a decision on your opinion

Frankly, I would not be surprised if Lebron averages a triple double in Miami at some point...it won't be while he is scoring 30 a game like the Big O did but I fully anticipate that Lebron's assists and rebounds will increase while his scoring dips in Miami.

Best in the clutch: Jordan... by a mile

Best all-around: tricky question... Best overall player.. easily Jordan. Best all-around skills... LeBron

given i did this pretty late at night so yeah your right on the best distributor.

I hate hearing that Jordan had a way better cast, Jordan made that cast of players great.

Scottie Pippen is the THE most overrated player in the NBA history.
