According to his half-brother Livan Hernandez, Orlando Hernandez (44 yrs old) has agreed to a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals.

El Duque was one of my favorite pitchers. From the wind-up, the winning, and the filthy pitches he could throw. I would love to see him succeed in his return and would love to see him pitch in the majors this year.

How do you do that?!?!?

That guy has one of the best nicknames in professional sports.

As a White Sox fan...I will never EVER forget when Ozzie called on him late in the first round vs the Red Sox (2005) with the bases loaded and no outs! And he got three outs without allowing a runner to cross the plate! AWESOME performance! That guy is entertaining for sure!

I remember that call...I was never a huge John Rooney guy at all! But I do remember listening to Rooney's calls and not being able to listen to Chris Berman call that series on ESPN due to his strong East Coast bias/whining (but then again that is company policy at ESPN)!
