OT - DUMPSTER blows another one

You know that the division leader in the NL Central would be fifth in the NL West.

It's a horrible division that is full of s***ty, s***ty baseball.

Didn't the division winner from the west win 82 games a couple years ago? It's all cycles my friend. All that matters is you make the dance.

Obviously, Daddy Mac is seriously confused here. If there were ever two groups of fans more alike it's hawks and cubbies. Arrogant-- it's always "if only"--- excuses-escuses. On the other hand, there is no group af fans anywhere, more knowledgeable about the game of baseball than Cardinals.

On the other hand, there is no group af fans anywhere, that own a higher percentage of El Camino's than Cardinals.

I fixed it for you. I live in St Louis and am only joking so don't get tor riled up.

I guess the Cubs should just pack up shop because they are in the Central and don't believe the division is worthy of a playoff spot...

Let me guess...you weren't complaining when ISU had 2 chances to win the Big 12 North that was fully of sh***ty, sh***ty fooball?

And 1 more thing...the Cards won the World Series last year winning 82 games winning that sh***ty division.

I am not sure how many time that I will have to remind people of this, but that division...s****y as it may be...won the world series last year.

BTW, Dempster and Omen are the Cardinals best players right now...

"Dumpster" had saved 13 straight games before today and other than Marmol, he has the best era in their bullpen, so I guess he doesn't exactly load the bases or blow it every other time he is in. And if Dempster and Ohman are the best players for the Cardinals right now, then I would have to say the whole Cardinals starting pitching rotation is the best player for the Cubs.

Jeez guys I was kidding. More of a jab at the Cardinals than at the Cubs. Trust me, I am still drinking the Northsiders' koolaid.

I don't see how anyone can claim that any of the teams in the NL Central deserves to go to the playoffs more than four other teams in the East/West. I realize the Cardinals came out of that division last year. Oh well. I've seen enough White Sox games to know bad baseball when I see it, and its happening in the NLC.

I agree CrossCyed, but it's not like this year, or last year were the first time that this has happened...the NL West has previously had some really bad years, and so on and so forth...it seems like it's happening every year, just in a different division for the most part.

Cardinals won the World Series last year.

The Cubs won the world series in 1908 lol

You're full of insightful analysis. You sound like a hawkeye pointing out the last time ISU won the Missouri Valley Conference.

"Actually Dempster has been pretty good. Everybody goes off the deep end after a loss."

Apparently we've both watched 2 Dempsters all year. Dude flat out is aweful.

This post verifies the Card Fan/Hawk Fan comparison to me.

First off, Cubs fans are the least ARROGANT fans in the world. Secondly, I have been a HUGE Cubs fan ALL of my life and I have never once said "if only".
Third, Only Hawk fans talk about how knowledgeable they are.

That being said, if the Cards and their manager can stay sober the rest of the year, they may just have a chance at it.

Maybe you should check out some stats before flying off the cuff.

Dempster has an ERA under 4, has completed 25 of 28 saves oppertunities and righties are hitting .182 off of him.

Here is a list of closers who have blown more saves:

Valverde
Borowski
F Cordero
Jenks
Hoffman
C Cordero
Jones
F Rod
Wagner
Weathers
Accordo
Fuentes
Wickman
Lidge

One has to know very little about baseball to say that he is awful IMO.

One has to watch very little Cubs baseball to rattle off a bunch of stats they just looked up on the internet and think they have some earth-shattering insight.

WATCH A GAME DUDE. Sure he gets saves. He gets them more often than not by being one of the luckiest SOBs I have ever seen in my life. RARELY does he not put a bunch of guys on base and raise my blood pressure through the roof.
