DUMPSTER sucks like a 3 horse vacuum. Let this d-bag sit in the bullpen and do Harry impressions but keep him off the field. Everytime he walks out my butt cheeks pucker just a little bit tighter.

:realmad:

I agree. Why do the Cubs continue to think he is their closer. Every game he comes into he either loads the bases or losses the game. ahead 4-3 in top of the 9th and he gives up 4 runs. How many teammates are peeved at him now?? I for sure would be.

They need to get Marmol in there as the closer. That slider he has is INSANE! I would take about anyone right now over Dipster. Heck, they can pay me a couple million to go in and crap down my leg every other day, and I would be much more enteraining to watch!

I'm a Dogders fan...He's my hero for today!

Rick Ankiel baby! Can't you just it feel it Cubs fans, don't you just know whats gonnna happen down the stretch like always...

Ironically you bring up that guy in a thread about inept pitchers.

Who's batting .340 w/ 27 RBI and 9 HR in 22 games. Water under the bridge man, Ankiel's the real deal. Time to go buy me a #24 jersey.

Hey cubs fans, how's next year lookin? :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Actually Dempster has been pretty good. Everybody goes off the deep end after a loss.

Regardless Marmol is the closer of the future.

This is the Cubs division to lose and if you look at the depth of the Cards/Brewers it will be pretty challenging to lose it.

You know the Cards are actually behind the Cubs in the standings don't you?

Either you aren't a cubs fan or you're new to how cubs fans work. See, cubs get their hopes up by playing well early in the season, then they blow it down the stretch and start talking about how great they'll be next year, while ******** about how (fill in the blank) totally f*cked them this year. This could be the year they do it, but let's be honest, it's much more likely that another Bartman is lurking in the shadows just waiting to "totally screw over all of cubs nation."

My point is the cards have been hot hot hot ever since Ankiel got the call-up in early August and have legitimately made a pennant race out of the worst division in baseball. Ankiel's provided a serious spark to a lackluster cards team and the result has been more W's. I was just rebutting cys_av8r's "inept" comment.

Oh yeah, after today, the cards are just 1 game back. That ain't enough to hang your hat on.

You know that the division leader in the NL Central would be fifth in the NL West.

It's a horrible division that is full of s***ty, s***ty baseball.

I've said it for years....

cardinal fans are eerily similar to hawk fans :twitcy:

Somebody save that one for posterity. A team tied for first and another 1 game back, and it will be challenging to lose the lead. Poor Cubbies.

Actually all the EIU fans I know are also Cubs fans. Its hard to tell them apart. :rolleyes5cz: And that blue color the Cubs wear - kinda reminds me of KU.

Looks to me like a number of teams have seen blown saves by their closers lately - Mets, nationals, Brewers. The closers are getting worn down maybe.

No but that joke of a starting pitching staff is.

It'll be a fun couple of weeks.

This weekend the Cards face their first quality opponent ina while, the Brew Crew heads on the road where they are terrible and the Cubs travel to Pittsburgh.
