Im almost 18 and looking into going bowhunting this fall. Theres just one problem, I dont have a bow yet. I have taken into account my draw length but I honestly don't know how much I can pull. I've been looking at bows like diamond's razor edge and PSE's Nova NI RTS. Im just looking for some insight on what would be a good starter bow for someone my age.

I suggest going to a pro shop and they will fix you up with everything you need (Draw length, etc.). They will also probably let you shoot different bows to find one that is comfortable to shoot. PSE makes nice bows. Bowhunting is a blast, prepare to be addicted for life!!!

If you're near Ames, go to JAX and ask for Brett behind the gun/bow counter. He's my neighbor and a great guy. Incredibly knowledgeable on bow-hunting. He'll get you set up with exactly what you need.

Send me a PM and I'll set you up with some good info.
I'm a rep for the Iowa Bowhunters Association and have good contacts
for you.
