Capitalism buddy.
That's fine, but you cannot have it both ways. If was about athletics, the conferences would look like they did in 1960

Capitalism buddy.
And you'd be just as ticked if the roles were reversed.
Capitalism buddy.
Spoken like a true ignorant hawk ******. Dumb***es like this would shut down the Writer's Workshop becasue it doesn't generate enough revenue.
Explain it better. It's a business. Nothing more, nothing less. What's the goal of a business? To profit.
Not saying I wouldn't but the anger here is being focused in the wrong direction. Blame the players in the Big 12 that allowed this to get where it is now. The BoR and Sally Mason have nothing to do with this.

Aren't conferences supposed to be not for profit? I thought so.
If Witosky really is the DMRegister's investigative reporter, one might think he would request a record of Sally's vote under the Iowa Open Records Act and then ask Sally and BOR President Miles for an explanation.
Again, you don't get it. The point is that the BoR, since the 80s has put Iowa ahead of ISU. It isn't about just this one vote. It is about the whole body of work.
Any retard that equates a university with a for profit business is a lost cause. Google this; tax exempt status for BCS football programs.
Oh go **** yourself. The root of all of this is the Big 10 Network. If the Big 10 would have never started that piece of **** then the greed wouldn't be rampant in college football right now.
At this point, I'm saying **** college sports. I'm watching pro sports from now on. They are less greedy. Yep, that's right, the college environment is less greedy than that pros.
Than that's up to the courts to decide. Until then the Big 10 has an affiliation with the Big 10 Network which is 49% owned by Fox. Fox is a business. Which wraps back around to the original point, the goal of a business is to profit.
See? He's run circles round our logic. They must have built a new schoolhouse in Norwalk, with a purdy schoolmarm and new outhouses.![]()
Let's get this thread back on track.
This is a sad day in the history of college sports in America; and Sally Mason, Gary Barta and the University of Iowa have all been a part of it. They have sent the message that it is all about the money. The spirit of antitrust laws do not matter. It's o.k. to trample on others that have less than you. It is o.k. for tax-exempt charitable orgranizations that are supposed to exist to support student athletes and their best interests can be all about nothing more than money and greed. That is what that "Yes" vote meant.
Yep, they even got new wooden benches so I don't get splinters in my ***. Someday you guys will understand business 101. Until then...
On top of all of this is the fact that the Big 10 took one team. The Big 12 could easily survive despite the fact that Colorado and Nebby left. The reason you're getting left out in the cold is because Texas thinks their **** smells like roses and they get what they want. Texas being a d-bag is the reason for this. Not Iowa, not the BoR, not Sally Mason, not Delaney.
That's rich, thanks for playing
