MLB: D Lee to be traded?

If true, he was a real good guy in Chicago. He reminded me a lot of the Spurs' David Robinson, someone who you could really look up to.

D Lee is a winner and a great guy. We should be keeping him in Chicago. I do NOT like this. We're not throwing in the towel yet..... I hope not at least.

I love D-Lee, but there is that point where you have to get something while you can to try and move forward.

Is there an article that suggests who we'd be getting in return? I don't see that in either story.

I haven't seen anything yet, but knowing how the Cubs have dealt with this in the past, they will get a sub-par bullpen pitcher, a minor leaguer who will amount to ****, and some cash.

Agree about D Lee...but was hoping the White Sox would send Konerko to the Angels for something. Like Konerko but the White Sox are going nowhere and might as well get something for him as I doubt he is coming back next year as they will not pay him $15 million a year in the future.

Enjoy the baseball trading season (seems like it might be getting underway), I just wish it was my team trading for players to help make a run this year rather than throwing in the towel.

The Cubs have done pretty well in trades actually. It's FA that they haven't done as well.

In fact, D Lee himself was aquired in a trade.

I can find your more examples of bad trades in the past 10 years than I can find you good trades.

What he said. This whole team needs blown up.

ok go.

Aramis/Lofton in '03 for scraps might have been the deal of the decade for any team.

Lee/Choi turned out pretty great as well.

Move Ramirez to 1b and bring up whats his name to play 3rd? I am ready for the youth movement. We aren't going anywhere.

Next year is our year. :jimlad:

The only good trade was getting rid of Bradley for Silva

Each of these are good examples.

Getting anything for Bradley is a steal, but getting a guy that's ended up 7-0 is amazing.

I never would have seen this coming. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm on record as saying he should be cut immediately. So not only did the deal save us approx 7 million, but we got a 7-0 pitcher out of it as well.

Alfonseca and Matt Clement for Julian Tavarez, Jose Cueto, and Dontrelle Willis.

Getting rid of Bill Mueller for nothing.

Jose (the king of strike-outs) Hernandez for Mark Bellhorn

Kyle Farnsworth trade (cant remember who the Cubs got)

We have Micah down here in IOWA that deserves a shot too

I feel bad for micah, I was at a game where he hit four home runs and he's consistently hit for power for years, he needs a shot with another team because he's not going to start over DLee and he's wasting his career and talent in the minors.

Let me add more:

Trading anything for Neal Cotts.

Michael Barret trade.

Acquiring, and than immediately dumping Josh Hamilton.

Jacque Jones trade

Giving up what they did for Rich Harden.

MARK DEROSA!

AARON HIELMAN!

Jason Marquis for Luis Vizcaino
