No it doesn't, he had a very good draw last year and got extremely lucky with upsets on his side of the bracket last year to reach the finals. He wasn't the 2nd best wrestler at 141 last year and wouldn't have been this coming year. He probably would have been an AA this coming year though, it is a loss but not as big as most will think. Most will look at his 2nd place finish but won't look at how he was able to get there in the first place. If he is on the other side of the bracket he isn't a finalist and probably isn't even an AA.

You're right he did finish 2nd, but my point is you couldn't count on him being a finalist next year like you could with Metcalf so he probably wasn't going to score as many points at Nationals next year as he did this year.
