Ya got me, I'm totally envious of ISU, who even on the years is able to defeat us, trucks off to the Insight Bowl.
And all those National titles/conference titles/conference titles appearances that ISU has, I mean, who WOULDN'T be envious?

It's a shame that I have to do this, but Husker fan here. Please excuse the clowns who are trolling your board, and don't hate me. The way I look at overall recrods is to ignore them. whoever won the most recent game is who gets the cred until they lose the game. Right now, and until november, that is ISU. No ifs, ands, of buts. Especially no ifs. i hate what ifs. You won the most recent game in the series, you get the cred and bragging rights until that changes. And I'm not going to pull any "the better team was" crap, because we lost. And if one thing is true about football, THATS WHY YOU PLAY THE GAME, and you showed us that in the worst way last year. So again, not all us Husker fans are going to shove rhetoric and old stats down your throat that can't prove anything until the game is actually played.

Yea, there's totally a time for sportsmanship. I find that when walking into a room filled with people already badmouthing you, usually not the best instance for it.

Before you came in here, most were being very reasonable about it. Hell, most people here have been predicting that we lose or pull out a close win. Hardly unreasonable. Nobody has seriously been saying we'll take Nebraska to the woodshed.
You come here, and start saying NU is going to lay a 40 point margin on us. Despite the fact that Nebraska didnt even put 40 pts on the board against anyone other than FAU and Louisana Lafayette last year, much less 40 pt margins of victory. In 9 conference games, NU failed to get more than 20 points in 5 of those games, and the conference season high for points by Nebraska was 31. You call Cyclone fans ridiculous, but your ridiculousness is the worst in this thread.

That's very possible. I just looked up the score, and it was fairly close (28-12), but I couldn't find a box score to see who played for NU that day.
As another Nebraska fan posted earlier in this thread... Please don't take one poster, who claims to be a Husker fan, and let that form your opinion of all Husker fans. There are idiots among all fanbases, but this is not the norm.
I've been lurking this message board for a while, but just recently got a membership. I couldn't sit by and watch this poster desecrate Husker fans. It's embarrassing reading his coments. I wish one of your mods would ban him already. When he comes back under another login ban him again.
We have a thread about this guy, that's on your message board, on a Husker message board. The feelings I have are mutual there. Just please please please don't take him as being "all Husker fans."
I spend time reading many teams' message boards and every one of them has optimism. Whether it be NU predicting a win against ISU or ISU predicting a win against NU. Personally, I think NU will beat ISU by 10 points or so, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be disrespectful when posting my prediction. It's an opinion. Everyone on these message boards has an opinion, but nothing is proven until the game is played.

Nebbie should have murdered us in that game. Look at the turnovers:
1.) Fumble: NU 39 yard line (Helu stripped)
2.) Interception: ISU 2 yard line (Sims INT)
3.) Fumble: ISU 15 yard line (Paul's "magic drop")
4.) Fumble: ISU 4 yard line (Helu stripped)
5.) Fumble: ISU 5 yard line (Robinson stripped)
6.) Fumble: NU 16 yard line (Holt stripped)
7.) Interception: ISU 36 yard line (McConnell INT)
8.) Interception: NU 34 yard line (Smith INT)
They were running through us ALL DAY. Paul was all alone when he dropped the ball and those two fumbles inside the 5 would have been first and goal. If our D wasn't being such ballhawks (lotta credit to them :notworthy, they likely would have beaten us by 20 or 30 points. Yes, A-Rob was out. Yes, Arnaud was out. They're still going to be tuff as rain when they roll into Ames, and there were a couple of games where we were obviously still not even in the same league as our opponents (Okie Lite, A&M)
I'm saying this because I'm already anticipating people getting ****** if we lose, but it wouldn't shock me in the least to see Nebbie win convincingly. If we can right the ship against KU after the murderer's row stretch, we've got a shot.
I still think it's going to take winning one we "shouldn't" to make 6-6.
You forgot guys playing with the flu. There were numerous starters that were vomitting before the game, during the game and after the game
They were vomiting because they knew what was about to happen. You should have seen all the Nebraska fans vomiting after the game.:biggrin:
