MLB: any one else think the Cardinals

If Penny and Garcia continue to throw the way they are, this team may win 110 games. The cards need to find a 5th starter to replace Losche with though. If the cubs would just cut their losses with Zambarno, i think he would look good in red.

I do, thought this since the start of the season they would. I'd be shocked if they don't win it by at least 10 games.

There are still 5 months of baseball left to be played. Anything can happen. The Cards' offense is worrisome, you can't expect the sub-2 ERA from 4 of the 5 starting pitchers for the rest of the season.

cubs are in the same funk offensively as the cardinals were last week. the top 2 teams will be close and far ahead of the other 4

Don't try to give rationale thoughts to another Cards fan.:jimlad:

As a die hard cards fan i would love to say 'yes' but we are barely finishing one sixth of the season and lots can happen. This sounds like a hawk declaring a national championship team after beating UNI on the flukiest 2 plays ever. If UNI makes one of those kicks, the 2009 ia fb season wud look quite different.

Our number five is pitching better than any of our own staff too (Cards)! Carpenter, Wainwright, Penny, and Garcia is a pretty sicknasty 1-4. If Lohse can get his act together, I see no way for Chicago to stay in this division race, let alone win it.

With that said, however, who knows if StL's pitching will continue to be as good as it is and if the timely hitting will continue. I still don't think St. Louis is playing up to its potential though. Holliday's still not 'on'.
