Updated Chris Colvin Information

Were the same posters saying both things? CF has many subscribers who have differing opinions. It's not really that suprising that one side or the other of an issue will pipe up at different times as the issue unfolds...

Really?

I was under the impression that we were all like little clones of each other- a virtual harmonious family as it were:jimlad:

Would have been nice to see what Colvin could have done here with his potential, but at the same time, I don't think he's the kind of player that will work well with Fred Hoiberg.

I think maybe Fred knew that about Chris and decided the extra baggage wasn't worth it?

Not going to pretend we won't miss him, because we will. He would have been plenty useful to us the next several seasons. That being said, I'm not going to pretend to be heartbroken about him leaving the program, either.

JP was asked about CC and Ham by Murphy on his radio show and said it was Mayor Coach FH's decision to make, but he would gladly provide any feedback if asked. The tone I read into it was one that made me think CC wouldn't be back if it was JP's decision. I am sure I am offbase, but hey, this is a message board so who cares!

I think it is important for Chris to come back for the sake of the program. Diante is going to graduate after next year and there is no second string point guard at this time except for Bubu. Given, it has been said that Bubu is a great player and may in fact be able to take on the point guard role, i will assume that he is not because he is only a walkon. Therefore in my assumption that the only other possible replacement for a point guard is Phillips, a combo guard. He could very well play the point position, he may not. I do not know. Given those two assumptions, we will be without a point guard after Diante leaves and will have to rely on either a Juco or a high schooler in the 2011 class to be the next point guard. Getting Colvin back would lessen my worries at this position.
