I wish they would just pick one and run with it. I don't like the whole world (esp non-ISU students, alums, fans) inspecting our laundry like this.

I like the whole idea. The FB team gets to plaster ISU all over the sports page and they don't even have to play a game.
I think they wanna make sure its acceptable. i think they have already chosen the I state helmet and wanna see how many think its the best.
Im excited for new uniforms personally. I think the white helmets will look great under the lights.
You meant to say with the lights out, right? Hate the white ...

As much as I loathe the white helmets and all of the bland and unoriginal logo options, I have resigned myself to the fact that it's going to happen. Of all of them, I find the "I-State" logo to be the least objectionable, so I guess I hope they choose that one. I agree with the other posters who think that JP and Chizik have probably already picked that one out and are just letting fans sound off in a meaningless online poll to generate interest. I may hate the uniforms, but that won't affect how hard I cheer for the team. Ugly white helmets or no ugly white helmets... Let's go State!
I'm just taking a wild guess here, but the Iowa State header at Home - CYCLONES.com—The Official Web Site of Iowa State University Athletics has the same font as the I State logo so I am thinking that it is a foregone conclusion as to which logo will win out.
I just find it strange that everyone's complaint was that Cy was too busy for the helmet and too difficult to read on TV, yet everyone thinks that the busy "I-State" logo is perfect for the helmet (and will likely be difficult to read on TV).
I'm no design major but the difference in the current "swirly-butt" logo and the "I-State" logo is about 40 light-years in terms of recognizablility. At least now we'll only be confused with other "I" states rather than people saying "now which MAC/Conference USA team is that again?"
The argument here is that nobody else is "I State". With the eventual hope that we can use that for branding--it's unique. EVENTUALLY everyone nationally would know that WE are "I State"--where ISU could be any number of colleges. You really think so? Instead of everyone asking "what does ISU stand for? Illinois State? Indiana State?" are instead going to be asking "What does I-State stand for? Illinois State? Indiana State?"
