Jeff Woody

You can support what we have, I'm all for it, and I certainly support Jeff.

However, if I think someone is acting delusional and ignoring the truth about something, I'll bring it up.

I think we're in serious trouble if Jeff Woody is doing anything other than special teams. Because honestly, there are D2 schools that Jeff wouldn't be second on the depth chart on, let alone starting.

Take off your ISU foam finger and look at it for what it is.

I've seen Jeff woody on film plenty of times, decent walk on type player.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Not really

Truth is that he was second on the depth chart. Our coaches know more than you. So does everyone else it seems like.

What film? High school film or what? This sounds a lot like the guy who got trounced by Woody in high school and could not stand to see him possibly have success.

Good for him, there are a lot of pleasant and smart kids playing D1 football that don't need to see significant time on the field. Jeff being one of them.

Hopefully he see's some special teams action, but like I said, anything bigger than that and we're in serious trouble.

I guess I'm just ****ing some reality on your pathetic parade over nothing.
I'm just wondering if you have ever seen him play or practice? Please be honest. Why were you watching Jeff Woody film?

Probably still has the cleat marks on his chest.

Jesse Smith led the conference in tackles. That walkon may not have been fast, but he tackled you if he caught you.

Honestly, <a href="http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/members/isucy.html" target="_blank">isucy</a>, you're a ****. And <a href="http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/members/crosscyed.html" target="_blank">CrossCyed</a> can join that list with you. I've never seen two <acronym title="Iowa State">ISU</acronym> fans more against <acronym title="Iowa State">ISU</acronym> football players succeeding than you two.

Uncalled for. Cross is not against our players. Not one bit.

Woody seems decent enough but there's so much competition at the running back spot. James White appears to be solid and Shontrelle Johnson is hyped by coaches and fans alike.

Tough to climb the depth chart with two guys of that caliber being Freshman ahead of you.

Agree

With all the depth at RB for the next few years I wouldn't be surprised to see him switch to LB. A big guy who likes to hit is hard to keep off the field.

I for one will not be counting Woody out. I've seen way too many walk-ons prove me wrong in the past to count him out.

The kid has heart and tons of desire. That can go a long ways folks... especially in the eyes of someone like Paul Rhoads.

I'm sure James White, Beau Blankenship, Shontrelle Johnson, and Duran Hollis all have more athletic ability than Woody, and Woody would probably be the first to admit it. However, that doesn't intimidate Woody either. If these RBs don't give a 100% effort all the time, then Woody will beat them out... plain and simple. Rhoads doesn't put up with any laziness on anyone's part.

Woody may not beat them all out, but he will push them all each and every day to be their best... otherwise he'll pass them by... which is only a good thing for ISU football fans.

Woody looked ok. White was the best runningback today.

Although Bueker's jaunt might have provided just as much excitement.

Woody did a great job at the spring game. I've had class with him, and I'd give him a thumbs up on and off the field. I am really looking forward to seeing him put some power into our offense.

Preach it, brother.

Woody may never start, but could be an effective short yardage FB, a la Kock.

Those trying to already trash him can go bite a big one.

Id agree. Woody reminded me a lot of Schwartz. Capable and solid... nothing more nothing less.

Ill take that from a walk on
