Yes, but I don't think it was as big a deal as everyone made it out to be.

I think it depends on if stuff like this is a "being a kid" type mistake, or more of a "fiber of his character" type thing.

I think it's more of a "We need the talent and have to take some chances" type situation. No way to know if it's a kid messing up or a character thing right now.

Agree. I'd be fine with Mac's assessment of the kid's character. Many would not, especially if he came here and got in trouble.

I'm not trying to besmirch the kid's character, but there were rumors that he allegedly took some of his mom's prescription medication and sold it at school. I stress RUMORS and ALLEGEDLY.

I saw some of his highlight from an all-star game when an Iowa fan was bragging about him. He is deceptively athletic just by looking at him you would think he can throw down dunks like he does.

I personally wasn't sold on him as a difference-making recruit for iowa, but this time of year, you take what you can get. I do know that GMac better thoroughly evaluate his character. I'm all for having talented players, but what good does it do if he's booted off the team within a year? Going for talent over basketball IQ and team play is what got us into this situation in the first place.

Cody Larson is a stud Bball Player and was by far Iowa's best recruit in a top 25 recruting class. Lick said he was not in the least bit concerned about the minor trouble this year and was in the wrong place at the worng time. He is a good character guy from everything I hear. What a steal to get this type of player this late. Van Coleman raves about his abiltiy 6'9 very athletic PF I think he is currently rated like #34 player. GMAC should be calling him ASAP..
